چکیده

Poly (Lactic Acid) (PLA) is a biodegradable polymer which originates from natural resources such as corn and starch, offering excellent strength, biodegradability, nevertheless its inherent brittleness low impact resistance properties have limited application. On the other hand, Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) has high toughness, durability flexibility, one of most potential alternatives for enhancing flexibility mechanical strength by blending it with compatibilizer. With aim to improve thermal meltblown nonwovens, The was melt blended at different corresponding proportions toughening PLA/TPU MBs (meltblown nonwovens) were also manufactured. Joncryl ADR 4400 mixed into PLA matrix during processing. It found that had much higher chain extension substantially increased molecular weight matrix. SEM study revealed good Moreover, in this study, crystallization, rheological behaviors TPU blends investigated. characterized morphology properties. property nonwoven viscosity increasing amount blend, nonwovens exhibited properties; they are soft, elastic, certain tensile strength. New materials applications medical agricultural fields. compatibilized showed than simple same ratio.

Characterization of Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) and Ag-Carbon Black TPU Nanocomposite for Potential Application in Additive Manufacturing

Electromechanical, adhesion, and viscoelastic properties of polymers and polymer nanocomposites (PNCs) are of interest for additive manufacturing (AM) and flexible electronics. Development/optimization of inks for AM is complex, expensive, and substrate/interface dependent. This study investigates properties of free standing films of a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) polymer and an Ag–carbon b...
